“…Interestingly, there are two general routes to diminish a particle size of ZnO by a precipitation method. Firstly, the use of surfactant to modify the zinc precursor solution such as polyethylene glycol [1], diethanolamine (DEA) [2], triethanolamine (TEA) and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) [3] and secondly, the use of transition metal ions to substitute at Zn sites in the ZnO structure such as Al [4], Co [5], Mn [6] and Fe [7].
