Straying and population genetic structure

Abstract: The differentiation process in a set of idealized populations is simulated by computer programs. Absolute and relative effects of genetic drift, gene flow (through straying) and natural selection on the genetic population structure are explored. The effect of increased gene flow in an equilibrium situation is studied for both neutral and selected traits.
