Strain gauge analysis of implant-supported, screw-retained metal frameworks: Comparison between different manufacturing technologies

Abstract: Over the past decades, the technological development in the medical field, coupled with the ongoing scientific research, has led to the development and improvement of dental prostheses supported by screw-retained metal frameworks. A key point in the manufacture of the framework is the achievement of a passive fit, intended as the capability of an implant-supported reconstruction to transmit minimum strain to implant components as well as to the surrounding bone, when subject to any load. The fitting of four di… Show more

“…For a correct design it is necessary to know first the height, length, and width of the car. With these data it is possible to make a first sketch of the car's floor, equipped exclusively with side members, flame arrester, luggage compartment, and special spaces for the wheels [31][32][33].…”

“…This solution allows us to install the seats lower down, gaining space in height. We will now proceed to the analysis of the structure following the parameters previously indicated (Figures 13-15) [32,33]. As you can see, in fact, the three crossbars that extend over the entire length of the platform are deliberately at different distances from each other, this because when we would later go to insert the seats, it will be necessary to have more space available underneath passengers' feet.…”

“…Sob o mesmo ponto de vista, dentre os métodos aplicados junto ao GR&R, o ANOVA é amplamente utilizado em trabalhos como [21,[25][26]29,[34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41]. Alguns estudos recentes também realizam análise do sistema de medição no processo de RSW como [11,[42][43][44]. Entretanto, ainda é escasso o número de trabalhos que comparam os instrumentos de medição utilizados no processo de RSW.…”

“…DfD can be intended toward three areas: selection of materials, design of components and layout of products, and careful selection of fixing and connection systems. Assembly and disassembly plants can be optimized [10][11][12] and disassembly operations can be mechanized, also with the help of digital/augmented reality tools [13]. It is essential to notice that DfD is not simply the inverse of the design for assembly, but a trade-off between the production cycle and the recycling cycle that leads to an optimization of both costs and maintenance during the life of the mechanism.…”
