“…En esta epidemia, el CAE se observó en el examen directo del pus o en los cortes del pus fijados en formo1 e incluídos en parafina, o en las 14 biopsias estudiadas inicialmente (49) y en la mayoría de las 63 biopsias estudiadas por Lurie, en las cuales vio 17 CAE en 32 nódulos primarios y 22 en 31 nódulos secundarios (36). El mismo autor sugirió que el material radiado más prominente se ve en la enfermedad menos severa: una lesión solitaria de un año de evolución y una lesión recurrente de 7 meses de evolución, que había sido tratada en forma inadecuada 10 años antes (46); los cuerpos asteroides pequeños, con mínimo material radiante, los vi6 en nódulos secundarios o en pacientes con lesiones múltiples o con lesiones óseas o viscerales (10,46). Pero, en las formas pulmonares, meníngeas, diseminadas, de baja resistensia, se han visto numerosos cuerpos asteroides en conglomerados (31,32).…”
