In this article, we will attempt to answer the following question: What is the state of 21 years of scientific production regarding spiritual leadership (SL) in its relationship with organizational commitment (OC)? To accomplish this objective, we used a rigorous bibliometric approach employing two scientific databases: Scopus and Web of Science. Eighty-two articles were identified for the period between 2000 and 2021, but only 52 articles have been appropriate for the analysis. Two software were used for the data analysis: IRAMUTEQ and VOSviewer. This systematic literature review was performed to shed more light on our current understanding and to identify patterns and gaps in previous studies of SL as it relates to OC. The results assert that the literature on the relationship between SL and OC has an important role for individuals and organizations. Theoretically, it highlights grey areas that need to be exploited to enrich the scientific literature, including constructs that will moderate or mediate the relationship between SL and OC. Practically, the research perspectives indicate the significant role that the SL can play in paying attention to the spiritual needs of employees and its positive effects on the organization. The findings have implications for both the employees and the organization.

Purpose This study aims to evaluate the impacts of human capital factors in terms of spiritual intelligence (SI), emotional intelligence (EI) and workplace attitude in terms of trust on organizational sustainability (OS) in the hotel industry in Malaysia. In addition, this study intends to examine the mediation role of trust between human capital factors and OS. Design/methodology/approach A survey method using a questionnaire was used to collect data from 361 employees, including middle management, who are in direct contact with guests in the hotel industry. The partial least squares technique, SmartPLS3.3.3, was used to examine the hypotheses. Findings The analysis found support for the impacts of SI, EI and trust on OS. Additionally, the mediation effect of trust was also supported. Originality/value This pioneering study has combined human capital factors (i.e. SI and EI) to predict their effects on OS in the hotel industry. Moreover, this research established relatively new relationships between SI and OS and between EI and OS through the mediation role of trust. Furthermore, this study confirmed the validity and reliability of SI, EI and OS at first and second orders. Given the adverse impact of COVID-19 and its variants on the sustainability of all business organizations, this research has highlighted the crucial role of human factors and workplace attitude in the sustainability of the hospitality sector during difficult times.

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between workplace spirituality and organizational hypocrisy from teachers' perspectives. The study employed a cross-sectional quantitative survey design. The data for the research was collected from 276 teachers working at lower secondary schools in Turkey. Stepwise multiple regression was performed in the analysis to identify the predictive power of workplace spirituality dimensions for organizational hypocrisy dimensions. The findings suggest that workplace spirituality significantly predicts organizational hypocrisy. In the model, the highest explanatory power of the total variation belonged to workplace spirituality's self-perception, meaningful work, and organizational values dimensions. Consequently, this research emphasizes the importance of workplace spirituality in reducing the effects for schools that have to act hypocritically. This research is the first research on the potential impact of workplace spirituality on organizational hypocrisy behavior in schools. In this context, it was concluded that workplace spirituality was important in reducing perceptions related to hypocritical behavior displayed by school administrations among teachers in the schools.
