Abstract:Abstract:We analyze the mass spectrum of spin-2 excitations around the gravity duals of "linear quiver" supersymmetric conformal field theories (SCFT's) in six dimensions. We show that for the entire family of gravity solutions it satisfies a bound which corresponds to a unitarity bound for the scaling dimension of the dual field theory operators. We determine the masses of excitations which belong to short multiplets, and for certain gravity solutions we obtain the Kaluza-Klein modes and the corresponding mas… Show more
“…We restrict our attention to a consistent truncation, namely that of spin-2 excitations of the N = 2 geometries discussed above. As a result we have to deal with a second order differential equation which coincides with the analysis in [11] (see also [12,13,14,15,16] for similar studies of the spin-2 excitations). We provide a generic expression for the wave operator given in terms of the function that solves the axisymmetric Laplace equation.…”

In this paper we study spin-2 excitations for a class of N = 2 supersymmetric solutions of type-IIA supergravity found by Gaiotto and Maldacena. The mass spectrum of these excitations can be derived by solving a second order partial differential equation. As specific examples of this class we consider the Abelian and non-Abelian T-dual versions of the AdS 5 × S 5 and we study the corresponding mass spectra. For the modes that do not "feel" the (non-)Abelian T-duality transformation we provide analytic formulas for the masses, while for the rest we were only able to derive the spectra numerically. The numerical values that correspond to large masses are compared with WKB approximate formulas. We also find a lower bound for the masses. Finally, we study the field theoretical implications of our results and propose dual spin-2 operators. a

“…More related to the present paper a number of interesting problems can be tackled. For example, operators of spin two have been studied in correspondence with certain fluctuations of the background metric [77], [78]. It would be interesting to study the analog operators in our CFTs.…”
In this paper we discuss an infinite family of new solutions in massive Type IIA supergravity with AdS 3 ×S 2 factors, preserving N = (0, 4) SUSY. After studying geometrical aspects of the backgrounds we propose a duality with a precise family of quivers that flow to (0,4) fixed points at low energies. These quivers consist on two families of (4,4) linear quivers coupled by matter fields. We present various tests of our proposal.Dedicated to the memory of Steven S. Gubser. 1 ylozano@uniovi.es 2
“…The result on the decoupling, however, can be applied to general warped spacetimes with AdS factors, see e.g. [31,32,33,34,35,36] for application in various cases.…”

We study (massive) spin-2 fluctuations around warped AdS 6 solutions with 16 supersymmetries in type IIB supergravity. We identify two classes of fluctuations which are universally present for all solutions of this form. The holographically dual operators have scaling dimensions ∆ = 5+ 3ℓ and ∆ = 6+ 3ℓ, where the integer ℓ encodes the R-symmetry charge. They are identified as descendant states in respective BPS multiplets (the current multiplet for ∆ = 5). We also compute the normalization of the energy-momentum tensor two-point function and show that it is related to the S 5 partition function of the dual 5d SCFTs.
