The specifics of work of the socionomy specialists, their involvement in the socio-psychological support of educational and socialization processes determine the topicality of this research. The aim of the research was to test the effectiveness of coaching technologies in the professional selfdevelopment of specialists in supporting families that have children with special needs. Social workers were surveyed in order to determine their readiness for professional self-development. The author's programme of professional self-development for socionomy specialists was developed based on the survey of respondents. Educational activities, socio-psychological support, adjustment of speech communications and physical activity of children with special needs were the programme components. The research results proved the hypothesis about the appropriateness of applying coaching technologies to promote the professional self-development of socionomy specialists. The implementation of the author's Professional Self-development Programme resulted in an average increase in the respondents' readiness for professional self-development of 11%.

The article provides a quantitative analysis of the online courses which can be used for student training in the humanities. It is noted that the development of in-formation society influenced the ways of educational activities organization, the process of obtaining new knowledge and competency formation. Under the con-ditions when online education, blended and distance learning are considerably relevant, massive open online courses are an effective tool for learning and self-development. It was found that training in the humanities plays an important role in personal development of the future specialist. It involves the development of social competence, communication culture, leadership skills, as well as skills of conflict avoidance, teamwork, etc. The effectiveness of training in the humanities is influenced by active teaching methods, interactive technologies, and various means of information and communication technologies. The authors analyzed both the English-language (Coursera, Udemy, Edx) and Ukrainian-language (Prometheus, EdEra, OUM) online platforms. The article provides a quantitative analysis of online courses according to various directions in the humanities on each of the platforms. As of October 2021, we identified 4,769 free and fee-paying courses. The largest number of online courses for training in the humani-ties is presented on the Udemy platform (4,295 courses), the smallest number – on all Ukrainian-language platforms together (45 courses).

The use of business games in the educational process is one of the highly effective forms used for active learning. During the business games, the professional competencies of the participants are improved by solving practical problems. The working conditions of modern transport technology engineers provide for the adoption of management decisions in a short time with minimal time to think about the situation. Therefore, their actions should be brought to the level of automatism. Within the framework of the business game, it becomes possible to consider various alternative solutions to practical professional problems. And this, in turn, creates prerequisites for the formation of various professional competencies among trainees The use of a competence-based approach in the process of training engineers for the transport industry makes it possible to prepare specialists capable of independent professional improvement and able to apply in practical professional activity the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired in the course of training. The need for psychological and social competence among engineers of the transport industry is predetermined by the great influence of the human factor in the transport industry.
