The 2021 EUROCALL conference engaged just under 250 speakers from 40 different countries. Cnam Paris and Sorbonne Université joined forces to host and organise the event despite the challenging context due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Originally programmed to be held on site in the heart of Paris, France, the EUROCALL organising team and executive committee agreed to opt for a blended and then for a fully online conference. The theme of the 2021 EUROCALL conference was “CALL & Professionalisation”. This volume, a selection of 54 short papers by some of the EUROCALL 2021 presenters, offers a combination of research studies as well as practical examples fairly representative of the theme of the conference.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat efikasi diri mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau dalam pembelajaran daring. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survei (online). Sampel pada penelitian yaitu seluruh mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan perkuliahan daring sebanyak 101 mahasiswa. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran angket secara random (online) disemua angkatan aktif dalam bentuk google form, dan pedoman wawancara yang dilakukan melalui fitur pesan pada aplikasi Whatsapp. Analisis data melalui perhitungan nilai rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efikasi diri mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau dalam pembelajaran daring tergolong tinggi. Hal ini ditunjukkan karena tingginya nilai efikasi diri pada keempat dimensi, yakni teknologi, manajemen waktu, interaksi sosial, dan pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, kemampuan diri mahasiswa sehubungan dengan aktivitas akademik selama pembelajaran daring diterapkan tergolong baik

Self-efficacy may be more challenging to achieve in the context of distance learning when students rely on their teachers as their learning source. This study aims to analyze the importance of students' self-efficacy in their distance learning success. This study adapting library research model into the qualitative design, the present study used experts' opinions and previous studies as data sources to answer how students' self-efficacy affects their success in distance learning. Data sources were selected from conceptual and research articles on related topics, published in 2016-2022 in international reputable journals and national journals accredited by SINTA. The selection used specific keywords and a series of inclusion/exclusion processes. Twenty-six articles were included as relevant data sources to answer the research question. Critical readings led to synthesis during the analysis, which resulted in the conclusion that factors affecting self-efficacy, such as familiarity with distance learning, feedback and rewards, motivation and attitude affect students' distance learning success. It implies that metacognitive maturity, such as self-efficacy, plays a vital role in students’ academic success in distance learning.
