The purpose of the study is to reveal specific features of modern EU innovation policy in the context of its focus on sustainable European development and to conduct an assessment of the parameters of national innovation ecosystems of the EU member states with different innovation potential and Ukraine from the standpoint of their influence on the innovative development of countries worldwide. With the use of the correlation-regression analysis, the hypothesis of changing the parameters of national innovation ecosystems that affect the innovation of the EU member states and Ukraine in the global context depending on the level of their productivity and innovation potential was reiterated. The factors that have the greatest impact on the ranking of the countries in the Global Innovation Index, depending on which group the countries under study belong to according to the classification of the European Innovation Scoreboard, were identified. It was revealed that the set of such factors in each group of countries varies and has a different degree of influence on the level of their innovation development. Based on the results of the assessment, taking into account the need for a speedy post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, policy recommendations were made for Ukraine. Their implementation will ensure the systemic influence of the state on the national innovation ecosystem of the country.

Abstract. The analysis of the modernity of production machines is an important issue due to two aspects. First of all, modernity will have a direct impact on the efficiency of using both the machine and the entire production process (the entire production line), as well as the productivity of this process. On the other hand, this meaning will refer to the qualitative results of the processes that are carried out by the analyzed device. The level of modernity of machines is the starting point in the analysis of the effectiveness of their use and planned organizational changes in the production line. The aim of the paper was to evaluate the modernity of the milling machine CNC, which is used in the production of various types of steel products. The ABC technology method was the research instrument. Individual parts of this machine were divided into 3 subassemblies (parts of main subassembly A, parts of supportive subassembly B, parts of collateral subassembly C) and then each part was evaluated on the basis of Parkers' five-point scale. The analysis showed that despite the fact that the machine is not modern, there is no need to replace it, because the quality level of the steel products produced with it, is high.

The article describes a student capstone design project completed by a team of five students and implemented by a resort and casino in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA). This project was completed within the framework of project-based learning (PBL). Students had the opportunity to apply the knowledge that they learned in the classroom in a real-world application. Students also had the opportunity to work as a team which was supervised by the faculty. The outcome of the project provided valuable experience in creating of grid, a reliable source of energy. The heat generated as a by-product was used for the purpose of heating hot water and a swimming pool as well as space heating for the hotel and casino during the winter. In the summertime the excessive amount of heat was used to dehumidify the air in the hotel and casino. Dehumidifying the air increased the level of comfort in the hotel and casino as well as in the enclosed swimming pools area. The article is focusing on the cost effectiveness of the off-grid heat-and-power solution. The net present value and internal rate of return as well as the payback time were calculated.
