Home automation is a component of "The Internet of Things". Home automation has become modernized from many decades for the purport of controlling the abode appliances. In home automation we ourselves will predefine the commands for monitoring and controlling of home electrical appliances by which the energy is utilized effectively. Predicated on personal interest and cull utilizer can give his commands for controlling. Lot of energy is consumed by the electrical appliances even though there is no occupancy in a room. Occupancy is predicated proposed home automation system through which the cessation appliances are controlled and predicated based on the occupancy. In order to detect the occupancy PIR sensor is utilized which senses the heat radiations from an object and a kineticism is detected. Bluetooth predicated Android app is used to control the appliances on personal and to discard. The proposed system is a costeffective system.

This research describes a low cost and flexible security system which is basically based on Arduino with necessary interface to enable Internet and the control of power through Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) & Bluetooth module (HC-05). This paper consumed more real life interactions along with embedded software solutions. In this project a password is set for the access of all sensors, for this we use LCD Display and Keypad. Motion sensor, gas module, reed sensor, laser sensor, all the sensors are used to detect theft and unwanted occurrences. Control Panel Interface of Web Server and android voice control both are created to control of all lights of the organization and for the purpose of power savings. The proposed system requires minimum human intervention to control the system. This research ensures the safety of organization from unwanted occurrence and theft. The main contribution of this paper is that it not only helps to ensure the security of an organization but also energy efficient and time saving.

A Smart Home Design Based on Ethernet

People are getting more concerned to protect their houses from unauthorized people, the status of the house environment like temperature, humidity, gas leakage and fire. The proposed system can monitor a house by use of sensors that are integrated with an Arduino microcontroller and an Ethernet shield unit. Notification message is used to alert users via mobile phone when a possible intrusion occurs or any abnormal events occurs in the Home environment. Nowadays, everyone is almost using mobile phone so via using this system, the users will not have to carry additional devices to monitor their house. This system is designed using modularity to become a flexible system that can be add more sensors without change the whole system, only add some sensors to increase systems functionality. So this system is a modular home security system using Ethernet that uses the internet via Blynk application function to initiate the communication between the system and the user.
