“…It has been demonstrated by a great many investigators that the constant presence of arsenic or lead, in certain forms, in the skin can produce carcinoma cutis of the squamous cell variety. In fact, the necessity of observing individuals suffering with keratoses, which are associated with arsenical intoxication, has been pointed out by Eller (8) and many others who have given consideration to this subject. In unpublished data, it has been shown that arsenic is a factor in the production of epithelioma of the skin.…”
