Self-enhanced photoelectrochemical sensor based on a Schottky heterostructure organic electron donor matrix

Abstract: A self-enhanced photoelectrochemical copper ions sensor was constructed using an organic electron donor matrix with Schottky heterostructure prepared by dopamine and single walled carbon nanohorns. The determination in a non-additional...

“…Cu 2 O-0@R-Gel induces electron transfer effects during the reversible autoxidation of Cu 2 O and R-Gel, blue-shifting 1641–1650 cm –1 . Around 2850 and 2920 cm –1 belong to the symmetric and antisymmetric stretching vibrations of CH 2 , respectively . Around 3431 cm –1 is the stretching vibration of H 2 O caused by adsorbed water.…”

“…Modification and encapsulation on the surface of GO using P-P stacking or strong covalent bonding interactions yielded rGO@R-Gel. After that, the unreduced oxygen-containing functional group of rGO and the catechol group of R-Gel provide the reaction sites to anchor diffusible Cu 2+ , thus making rGO and R-Gel ideal template materials for the in situ nucleation and growth of Cu 2 O for controlled homogeneous dispersion (Figure S8) and controlled release of Cu 2 O. In particular, R-Gel, as a multifunctional platform for rGO functionalization, can promote the electron transfer from R-Gel to Cu 2+ , drive the diffusion of Cu ions, and induce better antifouling and antibacterial effects of Cu 2 O . The 3DNP-Cu 2 O/rGO x @R-Gel was organized to establish a self-improving antibacterial and antifouling system.…”

“…22 It is prone to form electron donor nanopolymers with conjugate structures via oxidative self-polymerization, usually serving as photoelectron transport channels, which indicates a good candidate of DA in the design of novel PEC materials. 23,24 A graphite carbonitride nanosheet (g-C 3 N 4 ) with a twodimensional atomic thin layer structure, as another kind of electron-rich material, possesses the merits of simple preparation, large adsorption capacity, and good stability. 25,26 Whereas the PEC performance of g-C 3 N 4 is limited by its rapid charge recombination, narrow light absorption range, and poor dispersion in aqueous solutions.…”
