Seeder with Different Seeding Apparatus in Maize Sowing

Abstract: Precision sowing trend is development of technology of sowing maize. The advantage of planting corn with precision seeder includes saving seeds, fewer working hours, achieves more uniform spacing in the row and depth of planting, and for these reasons it follows that the crop will be uniform in height and strength, which is a prerequisite for high yields. It was performed a fi eld testing of three seed in sowing maize at three diff erent speeds of sowing. Tests were carried out to determine and compare the qua… Show more

“…There has been significant research regarding planter components and their effects on planting quality. This includes examining row cleaners (Raoufat and Matbooei 2007;Yang et al 2015), seed meters (Mursec et al 2008;Turan et al 2015;Yazgi and Degirmencioglu 2014), depth control (Barreiro et al 2016;Hanna et al 2010), and seed delivery units (Kocher et al 2011;Staggenborg et al 2004). Research results show that planting quality is determined by many factors and the performance of most components were affected by planting speed and planter vibration.…”

“…The possibility of improving the quality of sowing through the variation in the structurally-kinematic parameters was outlined in [16]. The authors derived variation coefficients for the seed arrangement in a furrow -19.25…25 % during operation of 3 seeders of varying mass, motion speed, and design features.…”

“…On the other hand, [13] proposed 4.75% for the upper limit of missand multiple index values. Authors [14] report that at a speed of 6 km/h all three drills are working with a coefficient of variation less than 25% and with values from 19.25 to 22.72 which meets the criteria of quality of seeding. The percentage of pairwise from 1.66 to 2.64 is indicator of good seeting of seeders.…”
