Sedimentation Management Strategy in River Estuary for Control the Water Damage in Downstream of Ayung River

Abstract: The Ayung River Basin is the largest watershed on Bali Island. Ayung River flows from Lake Batur and empties into Padanggalak beach. River estuary is an area of sediment material deposition that will form an alluvial formation. The deposition of sediment at the river estuary is due to the influence of river flow, tidal, and wave action on the beach. Sediments that settle at the river estuary can obstruct water flow to the sea, which can cause backwater and flooding to the mainland. The strategy of controlling … Show more

“…Ketersediaan air untuk irigasi pertanian tersebut dapat diperoleh dari bidang pengairan sungai maupun air tanah. Hasil studi mengenai ketersediaan air untuk irigasi sangat ditentukan oleh kapasitas sumber air, kondisi bangunan dan pengelolaan juga kondisi yang ada di lingkungan sekitar perairan (Eryani & Nurhamidah, 2020;Putri et al, 2022;.…”

“…An estuary is a partially enclosed coastal water body where freshwater from rivers and streams mixes with saltwater from the ocean (Alahmed et al, 2022). Although influenced by tides, estuaries are frequently protected from the full force of ocean waves, winds and storms (Eryani and Nurhamidah, 2020). The sheltered waters of estuaries also support freshwater and saltwater marshes, swamps, sandy beaches, mud and sand flats, rocky shores, oyster reefs, mangrove forests, river deltas, tidal pools and seagrass beds, which increase the diversity of the environment (Hopkinson et al, 2019; Hobohm et al, 2021).…”

“…Further, the Basic Genetic Algorithm (BGA) initiative will be established to continue and assist GA in identifying and finding a source of contamination. Data processing and optimization tool with a one-dimensional formula applied as a solution in analysis of unsteady water quality equation to achieve the results [18], [19].…”
