Satisfaction with general practice care in German patients with multimorbidity: a cross-sectional study

Abstract: This study found high levels of satisfaction with primary care in patients with multimorbidity. However, since high levels of patient satisfaction are not necessarily equivalent to high quality of care, a broader view is necessary to integrate the subjective views of patients and objective quality indicators into a comprehensive concept of good quality of care.

“…[22][23][24] Identifying a sample of general practitioners' patients who are dissatisfied with their care is not easy 10 because patients indicate high levels of satisfaction with PHC. [25][26][27][28] The method used in this study provides a picture of patients who decided to leave their family physician in a public PHC organization and enrolled in a private PHC organization. The sample identified here might be considered to include the most dissatisfied patients.…”

“…The European Task Force for Patient Evaluation of General Practice (EUROPEP) is a multi-dimensional scale containing 23 items that evaluates patient satisfaction with health services. [59][60][61] We used the adapted and validated Chinese version of the EUROPEP to analyse patients' satisfaction with primary care. The five dimensions are relation and communication; medical care; information and support; continuity and cooperation; facilities, availability, and accessibility.…”
