Saponification Values of Waxes by Microwave Instead of Conventional Heating

Abstract: A method is described for the determination of the saponification values of waxes using microwaves in place of conventional heating. Statistical analysis shows that the new method gives the same results as the conventional method in spite of a dramatically shortened analysis time.
