“…All patients had a laparoscopically verified PID, which was graded 1-111 according to Westrom (1 1). During laparoscopy specimens and material for culture were taken from the lumen of the fimbrial end of the oviduct or from the pouch of Douglas (12). One of the patients was only included in the correlation study of the variables Se-TN, grade and acute phase reactants, and excluded from the microbiologic part of the study because of treatment with antibiotics at admittance.…”
