“…The two strong bands at 3085 cm −1 and 3300 cm− 1 are attributed to the stretching of OH-Al bond. The peak of 1384 cm −1 is in agreement with the stretch vibration of the nitrate [30]. This peak can be attributed to the impurity of aluminum nitrate in the nanoparticle preparation.…”

“…Boehmite nanoparticles were prepared based on a room temperature sol-gel method following the procedure described in detail elsewhere [30]. Two solutions of 6.490 g NaOH dissolved in 50 ml of distilled water and 20 g of Al(NO 3 ) 3 ·9H 2 O dissolved in 30 ml of distilled water were prepared.…”

“…In the FT-IR spectrum of boehmite nanoparticles (Spectrum a-c), several peaks that appear at 480, 605 and [2,6]. Also, the nitrate impurity vibration at 1650 cm −1 and the vibrations of hydrogen bands OH···OH by two strong absorption bands at 1164 and 1069 cm −1 were observed in FT-IR spectrum [2,4,6]. In the 1072 and 770 cm −1 spectral region of the FT-IR spectra (Figure b and c), an overlap of the stretching vibration of the Si-O-Si bonds with Al-O and OH···OH stretching vibration leads to band broading [27][28][29].…”

“…Boehmite used as the precursor material, were synthesized based on a sol-gel method published previously [18]. In brief, a solution of 6.490 g NaOH dissolved in 50 ml of deionized water and 20 g Al(NO 3 ) 3 9H 2 O dissolved in 30 ml deionized water were prepared.…”
