Rise in Plasma Lactate Concentrations with Psychosocial Stress: A Possible Sign of Cerebral Energy Demand

Abstract: Objective: It is known that exogenous lactate given as an i.v. energy infusion is able to counteract a neuroglycopenic state that developed during psychosocial stress.
