Abstract:This research aims at examining the effectiveness of transtheoretical model to reduce compulsive internet use of Senior High School students. This research employed single subject design approach. The subject of this research is four students of X graders at St. Joseph Senior High School Malang which obtained high compulsive internet use score. This research utilized transtheoretical model counseling guidebook, compulsive internet use scale, observation and interview guidebook. The results of significant visual and score margin between pre-test and post-test indicate that transtheoretical model is effective to reduce compulsive internet use among Senior High School students.Keywords: internet; compulsive internet use; transtheoretical model; senior high school Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan transtheoretical model untuk menurunkan compulsive internet use siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan single subject design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari empat siswa kelas X SMA Kolese Santo Yusup Malang yang memiliki skor compulsive internet use dalam kategori tinggi. Instrumen yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah panduan pelaksanaan konseling transtheoretical model, skala compulsive internet use, pedoman observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis visual menunjukkan adanya perbedaan tingkat compulsive internet use siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi berupa konseling transtheoretical model.

Método.semestres, a los que se les evaluó la historia de consumo de tabaco, el nivel de dependencia, el ansia por el consumo, la motivación y los procesos de cambio. Resultados. El 25.9% de la muestra que reportó consumir procesos cognitivos experienciales en las primeras etapas de cambio (ps < 0.03) y un mayor uso de procesos ps < 0.02). La correlación entre nivel de dependencia y de r = -0.321, p < 0.01), y positiva entre nivel de dependencia y de ansia por el consumo (r = 0.417, p consumo y la etapa motivacional. En ninguna de las variables se encontró diferencia entre sexos. Conclusión. La construcción de la motivación al cambio se caracteriza por el uso de procesos cognitivos y la consolidación de la motivación por el uso de procesos conductuales.Palabras clave. Resumo. Este estudo exploratório teve como objetivo analisar a evolução de dois processos de psicoterapias breves psicodinâmicas (PBP) focalizando a associação entre as variáveis das pacientes e as intervenções dos terapeutas. As variáveis das pacientes foram: estágios de mudança, avaliados clinicamente por meio da Escala de Mudança, e a qualidade de efi ciência adaptativa, medida com a Escala Diagnóstica Adaptativa Operacionalizada. As intervenções dos terapeutas foram classifi cadas como expressivas, neutras ou suportivas. Dois juízes independentes avaliaram os estágios de mudança de todas as sessões. Eles também avaliaram a efi cácia da adaptação no iní-cio e fi m dos processos. Dois outros juízes categorizaram todas as intervenções das terapeutas. Observou-se que as estratégias de intervenção estavam relacionadas com a evolução dos estágios de mudança, a confi guração de adaptação das pacientes, bem como os diferentes estágios dos processos psicoterapêuticos. Novos estudos sistemáticos envolvendo essas variáveis são necessários para confi rmar a relevância das associações observadas.Palavras-chave: mudança terapêutica, estudo de caso, psicoterapia breve. Abstract.This exploratory study aimed to analyze the evolution of two processes of brief psychodynamic psychotherapies (PBP) focusing on the association between the variables of patients and the interventions of therapists. The variables of the patients were: stages of change, clinically evaluated by the Scale of Change, and the quality of adaptive effi ciency, measured with the Scale of Adaptation.
