The application of online learning was carried out massively during the Covid-19 pandemic. Its implementation certainly raises many new things, especially for areas with minimal internet access. For that, it is necessary to conduct a study of how students perceive online learning. The study was conducted to determine students’ perceptions of implementing online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in minimal internet access areas. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study, where the research subjects are students of a private university in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This research was conducted in four stages, namely (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, (4) concluding. The instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 21 questions. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The results showed that students had different perceptions of the administration of online lectures. These perceptions include perceptions of online learning infrastructure by 57%, online learning skills by 53%, perceptions of the quality of online academic interactions by 69%, benefits of online learning by 53%, obstacles faced by 42%, supporting factors for online learning by 38%, and future online learning expectations of 54%. This study concludes that students’ various online learning perceptions during the Covid-19 pandemic, starting from infrastructure, quality of interaction, and students’ benefits.

The availability of facilities has not been able to optimize the implementation of learning. This has resulted in some students not being able to take online lessons properly; about 29.4% of students have never taken online lessons so that students miss lessons that are carried out according to schedule. This study aims to develop a website-based Learning Management System to facilitate learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is included in research and development (R&D) by adopting the Alessi & Trollip development model. The subjects of this study were, among others, two media experts, two material experts, and two subject teachers in junior high schools. The data collection technique used a test based on the product developed for each research subject using the appropriate instrument. The results of the questionnaire will be analyzed descriptively using the proportion to choose the LMS product. The results of the research data that the assessment above is 88.88% of media experts, the amount of material obtained is 91.22%, and prospective users consisting of students and teachers are 91.88%, which means that the acquisition of media and subject matter to be used is 81%, which are included in the very decent or excellent category so that there is no need for revision or improvement. Thus the learning application, namely the learning management system (LMS), can be used as a tool to support the learning process during online learning activities.

Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan aktualisasi distance learning pada masa pandemi, respons guru dan siswa terhadap distance learning, serta faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur. Dari berbagai sumber literatur tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru dan siswa secara umum sudah memahami alasan dan melaksanakan distance learning. Namun, guru dan siswa menemukan berbagai kendala yang mengakibatkan siswa secara umum lebih senang belajar tatap muka secara langsung daripada distance learning. Distance learning yang dilaksanakan di jenjang pendidikan dasar dan menengah menyampaikan materi dengan beragam cara, misalnya; membaca, merangkum, membuat video, dan lain-lain. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan bervariasi, misalnya; Whatsapp, Google Classroom, Google Form, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Quiziz, Edmodo, Eduboy, Youtube dan lain-lain. Dalam segi penilaiannya dapat digunakan berbagai asesmen yang sesuai dengan karakteristik distance learning (Misalnya, tes berbasis daring, portofolio, atau penilaian diri (self assessment)). Dalam pembelajaran distance learning ini ditemukan faktor-faktor pendukung dan juga penghambat. Faktor pendukung antara lain pemerintah, guru, dan fasilitas pembelajaran itu sendiri. Misalnya faktor teknologi, pemberian kuota gratis, perluasan akses internet, penyediaan fasilitas belajar seperi Rumah Belajar dan Belajar dari Rumah di TVRI. Sedangkan faktor penghambat tersebut diantaranya siswa tidak memiliki laptop atau ponsel pintar, tidak memiliki jaringan internet yang baik, siswa tidak memahami penggunaan media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru, dan lain-lain.
