This article presents and discusses one of the five main categories that emerged from the narratives of patients treated in a military outpatient clinic of the Brazilian Navy: the availability of drinks on board. A dense ethnography was conducted at this clinic from 2005 to 2009, and, in 2010, a participant observation was carried out in two treatment groups, during 24 sessions. Sampling, data collection, analysis, and interpretation occurred in an interactive way, rather than in a stepwise sequence. Data interpretation was possible by using the Peircean abduction reasoning of the peculiar categories that emerged in the participants' discourse. A templum-synthesis was built according to the Boudon diagram to analyze and discuss the information. In conclusion, the institution seems to contribute to the production of the alcoholic habitus, unaware that alcohol availability may influence the emergence of alcoholism, leading to harmful impacts on the health of its contingent.

Objective: to analyze the discourse of psychoactive substance users undergoing treatment regarding their image of themselves as drug dependent subjects, of other dependents and the social position assumed by them. Method: qualitative study conducted between March and September of 2016 through a semi-structured interview and drawings, based on the theoretical-methodological reference of French Discourse Analysis. Participation of 12 drug dependent subjects undergoing treatment in the service that substitutes the asylum. Results: The images that psychoactive substance dependents have of themselves and of chemically dependent subjects are associated with the image of a negative, diabolical, transgressive, sick and socially excluded individual. Final considerations: The ideological effects of meanings produced by users’ discourses reproduce the biological and moral model. Health professionals, including nurses, need to invest in discourses that address the psychosocial model to demythologize this stigmatizing image and modify their work practice.

Saúde Do Trabalhador Militar: Uma Revisão Integrativa

Objetivo: identificar, na produção científica nacional e internacional, características e fatores que podem influenciar na saúde do trabalhador militar. Método: Revisão integrativa, realizada por meio de levantamento bibliográfico nas bases de dados Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e National Library of Medicine, e na biblioteca virtual Scientific Electronic Library Online, no período de janeiro e maio de 2016, com diferentes combinações de descritores. Resultados: Foram incluídos 19 estudos, entre os anos de 1986 e 2015. Evidenciou-se que a saúde dos trabalhadores militares é influenciada por variáveis socioeconômicas, laborais, e de hábitos e saúde, sendo o estresse um dos principais problemas de saúde ocupacional entre os militares. Conclusão: constata-se a importância e necessidade de adoção de medidas de promoção da saúde e prevenção de agravos junto a essa população para manutenção das suas condições físicas e mentais e constituição de ambientes de trabalho mais saudáveis e satisfatórios.
