Reliable, Fair and Decentralized Marketplace for Content Sharing Using Blockchain

Blockchains are a new approach to creating distributed networks that were first introduced in 2008. It allows the formation of peer-to-peer networks based on consensus, forming chains from accepted blocks without requiring a central authority or centralized controller. A prominent application of this technology is its use in decentralized storage systems. Individuals in decentralized storage networks rent unused hardware storage space to other individuals. A decentralized network utilizing end-to-end encryption eliminates the risk of data loss associated with centralized data control by enabling clients to transmit their files securely. The storage providers must prove that they have kept unaltered files in this network for this time. Many studies have been conducted in this specific domain, most targeting storage capacity and efficiency, but a security, integrity and privacy loophole need to be addressed. This paper presents an overview of blockchain-based storage systems and how they work, followed by a comparison with cloud-based storage networks and a survey of various decentralized storage networks like SIA, File coin, and Storj available on the market. Next, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of blockchain-based storage. In our final discussion, we examine the security problems of decentralized storage networks and explore potential solutions and research directions for the future.

Digital marketplaces were created recently to accelerate the delivery of applications and services to customers. Their appealing feature is to activate and dynamize the demand, supply, and development of digital goods, applications, or services.By being an intermediary between producer and consumer, the primary business model for a marketplace is to charge the producer with a commission on the amount paid by the consumer. However, most of the time, the commission is dictated by the marketplace facilitator itself and creates an imbalance in value distribution, where producer and consumer sides suffer monetarily. In order to eliminate the need for a centralized entity between the producer and consumer, a blockchain-based decentralized digital marketplace concept was introduced. It provides marketplace actors with the tools to perform business transactions in a trusted manner and without the need for an intermediary.In this work, we provide a survey on Telecommunication Services Marketplaces (TSMs) which employ blockchain technology as the main trust enabling entity in order to avoid any intermediaries. We provide an overview of scientific and industrial proposals on the blockchain-based online digital marketplaces at large, and TSMs in particular. We consider in this study the notion of telecommunication services as any service enabling the capability for information transfer and, increasingly, information processing provided to a group of users by a telecommunications system. We discuss the main standardization activities around the concepts of TSMs and provide particular use-cases for the TSM business transactions such as SLA settlement. Also, we provide insights into the main foundational services provided by the TSM, as well as a survey of the scientific and industrial proposals for such services. Finally, a prospect for future developments is given.

YouTube connects people with each other through an online video sharing service platform. With the great development of the entertainment industry, content on YouTube is accessible to many people of different ages. However, verifying the content posted on YouTube is clean or not is a difficult problem. Dirty content is violent, pornographic and vulgar content that causes serious psychological harm to the segment of users under the age of 18, i.e., especially those of an age who are not yet aware of the harmful effects of content. Toxic will bring to the child's behavior. Agree that Google (i.e., YouTube) has developed a YouTube Kid application where the videos are only for children under the age of 13. However, cultural and educational differences between regions strongly influence the choice of children. Select content for children. Therefore, the content restrictions on the YouTube Kid application have not yet met all the requirements of parents around the world. There have been many development directions to identify videos containing malicious content based on deep learning. However, there is no method to build a tool to support parents of children to share and identify videos with objectionable content (e.g., violence, pornography, obscene words) on the YouTube platform. In this research paper, we introduce YVC, a YouTube-verified content platform by applying blockchain's distributed, public validation. This tool helps parents validate YouTube content and issue a report to reduce dirty content on YouTube. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach, we implement the proof-of-concept in the three most popular EVM platforms: Ethereum, Fantom, and the Binance smart chain. Compared to the YouTube Kids (i.e., the most common shared video platform for the under 13-year-old kid), our approach is able to capture the video preferences of the parents covering the difference areas/countries.
