Relationships between flow properties, compression behaviour and mechanical characteristics of prednisone-microcrystalline cellulose tablets

Abstract: This paper describes the effects on the flow properties, as well as the changes in the compression behaviour, of microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel PH 101) incorporated with prednisone together with the mechanical properties of compacts made by direct compression from mixtures of these components.There is a gradual degradation of the flow properties of the mixtures with increase proportions of prednisone.
