Relationship Between Spermatozoa Motility, Egg Size, Fecundity and Fertilization Success in Salmo trutta abanticus

Abstract: Sperm and eggs were collected without anesthesia by abdominal massage from Salmo trutta abanticus. The relationship between spermatozoa motility, egg size, fecundity and fertilization rates were investigated. Fertilization rates ranged from 72% to 80% and correlated positively with spermatozoa motility (r= 0.111, p>0.01) and egg size (r=0.459, p>0.01).
