After the State Capital City Law relocated Indonesia's capital to the Nusantara region in East Kalimantan, Jakarta's status changed to that of a special region. This change was ratified with the approval of the Special Region Provincial Law for Jakarta during the Plenary Session of the People's Representative Council on March 28, 2024. Jakarta's unique efforts to become a progressive and sustainable global city necessitate coordination and integration with neighbouring areas, including those within the Jakarta Agglomeration Zone. This study utilises a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis methodology, gathering data through documentary research involving document collection and analysis. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, display, discussion, and conclusion drawing, with data validity assessed through triangulation. The research aims to recognise the necessity for new institutions to manage Jakarta as a special region and ensure their support for Jakarta's transformation into a globally significant national economic hub, including its surrounding areas. The research findings emphasise the importance of these new institutions, as the capital city area and its supporting regions are no longer considered manageable separately, exacerbated by regulatory differences between central and regional levels.

Selama pandemi COVID-19, situasi sulit melanda Indonesia dan dunia secara luas. Banyak negara yang terkena dampak gelombang virus ini, yang menyebabkan ketidakstabilan ekonomi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mencoba menjawab pertanyaan tentang bagaimana kearifan lokal dapat digunakan untuk memberikan layanan sosial kepada masyarakat selama pandemi COVID-19. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami peran kearifan lokal dalam menyediakan pelayanan kesejahteraan sosial bagi Masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni mengetahui kearifan lokal dalam memberikan pelayanan kesejahteraan sosial bagi masyarakat. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Gunungkidul dan Kabupaten Kulonprogo. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif. Kearifan lokal yang dapat didayagunakan dalam mengatasi kelangsungan hidup pada saat pandemi COVID-19 meliputi pengetahuan lokal, budaya lokal, keterampilan lokal, sumber daya lokal, proses sosial, dan solidaritas kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kearifan lokal tersebut dapat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dalam memberikan layanan kesejahteraan sosial saat pandemi COVID-19. Di Kabupaten Gunungkidul berdasarkan pengetahuan sosial masih kental dengan tradisi jimpitan. Hasil dari kegiatan tersebut setelah terkumpul dapat dipergunakan untuk membantu warga masyarakat yang terdampak COVID-19. Sedangkan di Kabupaten Kulonprogo muncul istilah jogo tonggo istilah dalam bahasa jawa yang mengandung makna menjaga antartetangga. Oleh karena itu dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, selalu ada semangat saling memberi dan menolong antara sesama tetangga. Selain hal tersebut masih ada tradisi-tradisi yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat dalam memberikan layanan bagi warga yakni sifat gotongroyong yang selalu ada di dua lokasi tersebut. Sifat gotongroyong yang sampai saat ini masih dipertahankan. Rekomendasi perlu adanya kerjasama di antara pemerintah setempat dengan warga dalam melestarikan budaya lokal maupun tradisi yang dianggap dapat memberikan pertolongan bagi warga masyarakat pada saat wabah COVID-19 menyebar.

Problems that arise in metropolitan areas are often cross-border in administrative boundaries across districts that require solutions involving coordination of several local governments, such as Bandung Basin Urban Area which consists of Bandung City, Cimahi City, Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency, and Sumedang Regency. This study aims to examine the implementation of collaborative governance in development management in the Bandung Basin Urban Area. This research was conducted using qualitative methods and descriptive approaches, through analysis and processing of primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected through in-depth interviews with informants from the Bandung Basin Urban Area Management Agency. In previous research, it was found that the Greater Bandung Metropolitan area has already been in a collaborative governance scheme but still has many obstacles thus has not been able to encourage and facilitate cooperation within the relevant local government spheres. The latest research shows that there has been progress towards a better direction for collaborative governance in the context of the Bandung Basin Urban Area in general, even though the collaboration process has only been effectively started since September 2021. The analysis process focuses on the performance of the Bandung Basin Urban Area Management Agency's functions from the aspects of initial conditions, facilitative leadership, institutional design, and collaborative processes. The novelty in this study is directed at the proposed improvement of the collaborative governance model, in the scope of institutional aspects, knowledge and capacity development, collaboration processes, and aspects of authority.
