Reimplantation of autogenous parathyroid tissue: An experimental study

Abstract: Four different techniques of parathyroid gland reimplantation into muscle were studied in 38 dogs following total parathyroidectomy. The types of autotransplants were whole gland, minced glandular tissue, thin slices 0.3 mm or less, and thick slices 0.4 mm t o 0.5 mm.The animals were followed for four months.
