Recent Progress in the Synthesis of Heterocycles based on 1,3-diketones

Abstract: : N,O-heterocycles containing the dicarbonyl ring play a significant role in heterocyclic and therapeutic chemistry. Since the discovery of 1,3-diketones, numerous research works have been achieved regarding the synthesis and its chemical reactivity. In this review, we have described the most relevant publications involving β-diketone compounds published during the period between 2018 to date. In addition, we include the 1,3-diketones-based heterocyclic compounds prepared by various synthetic methodologies.

“…Coumarin-based compounds find utilization as distinctive antivirals. The current study involved the identification, screening, and designing of novel compounds with improved therapeutic profiles that were created using scaffold morphing and structure-based designing techniques [ 15 ]. Scaffold morphing, a revolutionary medicinal chemistry technique, modifies the scaffold to produce corresponding molecules with a potentially higher therapeutic profile.…”

“…Numerous theories have been put forth about the primary factors in AD: a few contend that cholinergic dysfunction is a significant risk aspect for AD, whereas others contend that changes in the manufacturing and analysing of amyloid-protein are the primary triggering factors. However, there is currently no widely recognised hypothesis for the onset of AD [13,14].…”
