“…88 Similarly, fluorescent CNDs have been encapsulated in NMOF with potential to serve as a multifunctional platform for biological applications. [89][90][91][92] Fluorescent CNDs have also been decorated on the surface of silver nanoparticles for bio-detection. 93 Compared to the GQDs and CNDs, PDs are very novel and not yet explored very well.…”

“…It is worth noting that the pH values of the endosomal and lysosomal compartments may be as low as 5.5-6.0 and 4.5-5.0, respectively. 22,23 Moreover, the GSH concentration in normal cells is about 5 mM, and the concentration in cancer cells is about four times Scheme 2 Schematic illustration of the reaction mechanism of Zr-MOF/AMC in the sensing of GSH. that of normal cells.…”

“…Primarily, metal nanomaterials inset into MOFs can expect improved thermodynamic stability with minimized agglomeration [145][146][147]. In 2017, Hao et al [148] developed a kind of MOF hybrid material, encapsulating the fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) into Eu-2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (DPA) metal organic frameworks (Eu-DPA MOFs) for the sensitive ratiometric fluorescent detection of Cu 2+ (Figure 3), Eu-DPA MOFs displayed the uniform nanoscaled ball-flower-like structures so that they were very stable in aqueous solution. The CDs@Eu-DPA MOFs had two kinds of fluorescence emission peaks which derived from CDs and Eu-DPA MOFs.…”
