Rapid attainment of a doubled haploid line from transgenic maize (Zea mays L.) plants by means of anther culture

Abstract: We present a strategy for establishing a transgenic doubled haploid maize line from heterozygous transgenic material by means of anther culture. Compared to conventional inbreeding, the in vitro androgenesis technique enables a faster generation of virtually fully homozygous lines.
