“…The impact of the safety concerns of ionizing radiation prompting national guidance recommendations may have additional impact on the access, isotope availability and utilization of RS in the United States, as reported by our ATHN‐3 working group. While we focused our analysis on US‐based utilization of RS, there is additional global experience that supports the use of this procedure in the management of PWH. The Spanish, Turkish and Latin American experiences with alternative isotopes yttrium‐90 (90‐Y), rhenium‐186 (186‐Re) and 153‐samarium (153‐Sm) report high efficacy without additional safety concerns in long‐term studies.…”
