Protective effect of vitamin C against chlorpyrifos oxidative stress in male mice

“…Wherever in groups treated by malathion plus vitamine c or malathion plus green tea there were a significant decrease of them when compared with malathion group, these observations agree with those of Ayo et al (2006) and Ambali et al (2010), who reported that vitamin c is an effective antioxidant in various biological systems. The reduction may be due to the protective effects of vitamin c have been reported previously by other investigators (Aly et al, 2010) and green tea decreased renal degeneration and caused disappearance of cortical necrosis in kidney tissues. This protection may be attributed to phosphorylation and activation of endothelial nitric oxide syntheses in endothelial cells through modulation of protein kinase C. A signaling pathways by green tea resulting in endothelial dependant vasorelaxtion (Lorenz et al, 2004).…”
