Profiling Event Logs to Configure Risk Indicators for Process Delays

Abstract: Abstract. Risk identification is one of the most challenging stages in the risk management process. Conventional risk management approaches provide little guidance and companies often rely on the knowledge of experts for risk identification. In this paper we demonstrate how risk indicators can be used to predict process delays via a method for configuring so-called Process Risk Indicators (PRIs). The method learns suitable configurations from past process behaviour recorded in event logs. To validate the appro… Show more

“…waiting for the assigned developer(s) to take actions. Abnormal waiting time is an indication of an issue being delayed due to lack of team cooperation or nobody wanting to deal with the issue [12]. The waiting time of an issue is from when an assignee has been assigned to the issue, until they take an action to resolve it such as changing the issue's status or submitting a pull request.…”
