Production of Passion fruit in a semi-hydroponic system under protected cultivation

Abstract: The objective of this research was to evaluate the production of passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims) cultivars in different nutrient solutions, using commercial Bioplant® substrate in slabs system in protected cultivation. A randomized complete block design in a factorial scheme was used with 2 passion fruit cultivars (Araguari and Yellow Master) x 4 nutrient solutions (solution 1, solution 2, solution 3 and solution 4), each plot consisting of 6 plants with 6 replications. Electrical conductivity evaluatio… Show more

“…The study was carried out under greenhouse conditions in an arch-detached type structure that was 9 m wide, 25 m long, and had a 4.0 m ceiling height. A diffusing film was used for covering (140 μm in thickness), and it was characterized by its photoselectivity, antiviral properties, light-diffusing properties, anti-aesthetic properties, and resistance to ultraviolet rays 54 .…”

“…Wires were used for the installation of the 'Y' training system, one for supporting the spur cord, two from each side to tie the branches, two external wires were placed on each side for lateral lashing and another one on the top to support the material to be used in the cover of the vineyard and protection of the grapevines as recommended by Hernandes and Pedro Junior (2015). Diffusing agrofilm was used for covering (150μ in thickness) and it is characterized by being photo selective, antivirus, light diffuser, anti-aesthetic and resistant to ultraviolet rays (MARQUES et al, 2019).…”

“…Technologies aimed at increasing yield are applied to the cultivation of bell pepper (Sediyama et al, 2014), with emphasis on cultivation in a protected environment using hydroponic systems . This has attracted the attention of producers due to the reduction of costs and labor, since it promotes a reduction in the incidence of pests and diseases and the possibility of obtaining better fruit quality (Marques et al, 2019).…”
