Product Spacing of Stress-Strength Under Progressive Hybrid Censored for Exponentiated-Gumbel Distribution

Abstract: Maximum product spacing for stress-strength model based on progressive Type-II hybrid censored samples with different cases has been obtained. This paper deals with estimation of the stress strength reliability model R = P(Y < X) when the stress and strength are two independent exponentiated Gumbel distribution random variables with different shape parameters but having the same scale parameter. The stress-strength reliability model is estimated under progressive Type-II hybrid censoring samples. Two progressi… Show more

“…In this sub section, we will use an alternative method for the MLE method which is called the maximum product of spacings (MPS), this method is used to estimate the parameters of continuous univariate models, this method was introduced by Cheng and Amin [24] and used for censored application by Singh et al [25], Almetwally and Almongy [26], Basu et al [27], Almetwally et al [28], El-Sherpieny et al [29] and Alshenawy et al [30] and [31]. Let z (1) < ... < z (n) , be a random sample of size n, the uniform spacing of the MKITL distribution can be defined by…”

“…In this subsection, we devoted our efforts to study the most famous classical method of estimation, namely, the MPS method which is considered as the first competitive for the MLEs. By referring to Ng et al [ 35 ], Almetwally et al [ 36 ], and Alshenawy et al [ 37 ], the log-MPSEs under type-I censored samples for the NEXF distribution take the form as follows: …”

“…Assuming that θ 1 = λ, θ 2 = β, θ1 = λ and θ2 = β, the mean of the posterior distribution derived using different sampling designs can be obtained and thus Bayes estimators of λ and β are obtained for each sampling design. For application see [22][23][24].…”
