For seed germination and the formation of a good soybean crop, significant reserves of soil moisture are required, which depends on the autumn-winter soil preparation, weather conditions and planting dates. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of the main tillage technology on its agrophysical properties and conditions for the growth and development of soybean plants. Experimental crop rotation: soybean – winter wheat was carried out under favourable (hydrothermal coefficient 1.46) and dry (hydrothermal coefficient 0.66–0.87) weather conditions. The main tillage was carried out with a stratifier PRSM-5 to a depth of 15–17 cm or a chisel plough PCh-2.5 to a depth of 25–27 cm, with additional pre-sowing or post-sowing rolling with a ring-spur roller KKSH. Sowing was carried out at a depth of 10 cm with stable heating of the soil in three periods: the first at 8–10 °С, the second at 10–12 °С, and the third at 12–14 °С. As a result of evaluating the influence of various factors, it was found that under favourable conditions, the highest seed productivity of soybean plants (1.91–1.96 t·ha−1) was formed after treatment with the stratifier PRSM-5 at the first sowing period and at the second sowing period after chisel ploughing with additional soil compaction. In dry weather conditions, pre-sowing treatment with a stratifier PRSM-5 had an advantage in seed productivity by 7–12% compared to ploughing with a chisel plough PCH-2.5.

Russia has a large spatial separation of settlements and other objects. Therefore, the construction of highways using technical means of cyclic action is inefficient. The use of a complex of continuous units will increase the pace of road construction, improve their quality and reduce energy costs. All units of continuous operation are patented in Russia. They allow you to perform the entire complex of road construction works by the flow method. The complex includes a tunneling unit for open and closed excavation, taking into account terrain irregularities. The proposed tunneling unit allows the development of tunnels with a width of 4.3 m and a height of 3.4 m using direct-flow rotary rippers, augers and passive knives. The calculation of the main parameters of the tunneling unit conveyor drive is carried out. The theoretical capacity of the tunneling unit, in the absence of rocky and frozen soil, in terms of the volume of undrafted soil was 1.054 m3/s. As a result of calculations, the total energy costs for moving one cubic meter of soil amounted to 38218 J/m3. The estimated power of the conveyor drive (excluding idling) was 52 kW. The torque of the conveyor drive is 936 Nm.

Currently, there are a large number of tillage disc working tools. The article provides a detailed analysis of their designs. The main disadvantage of all structures is slippage during its interaction with the soil, which greatly reduces the quality of tillage. To eliminate this drawback, a new design of a soil-cultivating disc-pin working body was developed. The purpose of this study was to study the kinematics of a soil-cultivating disc-pin working body to ensure uniform operation without slipping. The rotation of the disk is ensured by a pin drum. During the forward movement of the trolley, the pins enter the soil, engage with it and turn the pin drum until, due to this rotation, they come out of the soil. A mathematical model of the movement of the ends of the pins in the plane of motion and taking into account the angle of attack has been compiled. Based on kinematics studies, the main parameters of the disc-pin working body are substantiated, the performance of which has been confirmed experimentally.
