The electrical properties of Ni(I1) and Cu(I1) chelate polymers of bis(2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde), bis(2,4dihydroxyacetophenone), bis(2,4dihydroxybenzophenone), bis(2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde)ethylenediimine, bis(2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone)ethylenediimine, bis(2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone)ethylenediimine and bis(2,4-dihydroxyacetophenoneimine) and aromatic acid chlorides have been studied. The chelate polymers with the most rigid structure were found to have the highest conductivities.
