Possibilidade e totalidade: divergência ou convergência das séries? um estudo acerca da relação Leibniz e Bergson

Abstract

O artigo pretende estabelecer uma relação entre Leibniz e Bergson a partir do problema bergsoniano da divergência das direções, séries e tendências de evolução da vida e do conceito de incompossibilidade em Leibniz. Para Leibniz a incompossibilidade é um princípio de exclusão de séries que pertencem a mundos possíveis diferentes pensados como totalidades seqüenciais completas e determinados internamente. Para Bergson a vida é entrosamento mútuo de tendências e a evolução criadora é impulso ao desdobramento destas tendências que se desenvolvem em direções ou séries divergentes. Estas tendências diferentes que se mantêm unidas na origem e que se atualizam em direções ou séries evolutivas divergentes podem ser ditas incompossíveis?
