“…This result may be associated with a longer period of exposure to environmental factors until the seeds reach adequate humidity to harvest (20%). Noal et al (2014) studied the harvesting time of three maize landraces and found that the ideal harvest humidity for seeds of the genotypes varied from 20 to 30%, since this humidity range had the highest percentages of germination and vigor. In the present study, when sowing was carried out in January, the incidence of diseases was higher compared to the other two sowing times, which reduced the percentage of seed germination.…”
