“…The pyrene method was used to measure the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of P188TT. 27,30 Briefly, pyrene solution (6 Â 10 À6 mol/ L, 10 μL) and P188TT NPs suspension (10 mL) were added to volumetric flasks and balanced for 24 h. The concentrations of P188TT were varied from 1 Â 10 À6 to 0.05 mg/mL. F5103PC fluorophotometer (Shimadzu, Japan) was used to measure the fluorescence intensities (λ ex = 384 nm, λ em = 373 nm).…”

“…Gemini surfactants have found application in medicine, physics, optics, and electronics. Polymerizable gemini anionic surfactants also have been synthesized to improve its interfacial properties [96]. These surfactants have been used as a template for the synthesis of nanoparticles.…”

“…Polymerizable gemini surfactants have the abovementioned excellent interfacial activities and efficiently create cross-linked structures through the polymerization of the multiple double bonds. This ensures efficient stabilization of the micellar and liquid crystalline structures. Our group has reported that monodisperse nanometer-sized spherical particles and vesicular or tubular hollow assemblies were prepared using T-type polymerizable cationic and anionic gemini surfactants. ,, Gin and co-workers succeeded in stabilizing hexagonal (H 1 ) and type I bicontinuous cubic (Q 1 ) mesophases of the lyotropic liquid crystal. These were efficiently formed by the polymerization of T-type gemini surfactants containing phosphonium or ammonium head groups. , However, the materials based on the hexagonal (H 1 ) phase are just assemblies of cylindrical objects.…”
