Abstract: Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common benign tumor of major and minor salivary glands. It rarely originates from the nasal cavity. It is important to identify the symptoms and characteristics of the disease so that early diagnosis can be made and appropriate treatment can be offered as it has a risk of malignant transformation. “…Loco-regional recurrence or malignant transformation can be picked up early using endoscopic examination followed by imaging [ 2 ]. However, as no signs or symptoms of recurrent or malignant disease were noted in our case, CT imaging was not repeated prior to the surgery, similar to the approach by other authors [ 15 ]. Other authors have recommended clinical surveillance in four to six-monthly intervals, with imaging one year postoperatively to rule out local recurrence [ 14 ], as repeated recurrence can increase the risk for malignant transformation [ 16 ].…”

“…It arises commonly from the major salivary glands especially in parotid (70%), and rarely from the minor salivary glands (6-7%) that are seen in nasopharynx, pharynx, larynx, hypopharynx, lacrimal glands and nasal cavity (0.4%). 1 Cases have been reported in lip, hard and soft palate, lacrimal gland and external auditory canal. 2 Here we report a case of classic triphasic PA arising from sero mucinous glands of nasal mucosa which is presented clinically as bleeding nasal polyp.…”
