Abstract: Citrus macroptera (family Rutaceae), commonly known as Sat Kara, is a pharmacologically diverse medicinal plant. Various parts of this plant, specifically fruit, have an immense range of medicinal uses in folk medicine directed for a number of ailments. “…[26] Citrus macroptera (CM), a rarely available fruit in North-Eastern part of India, has huge medicinal values. [35][36][37] Here, we report the green synthesis of FeNPs using Citrus mercroptera (CM) fruit extract and the biofilm inhibition property of such particles (CM-FeNPs) against a nosocomial infection causing bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa). The study also includes two interesting findings: one, the test of CM-FeNPs in combination with azithromycin (AZI), a conventional antibiotic, in order to evaluate their combo effect in improving biofilm inhibition and second, the in silico interactions of biomolecules present in C. macropetera fruit extract with bacterial proteins, associated to biofilm formation.…”
