Photodecomposition Profile of Organic Material during the Partial Solar Eclipse of 9 March 2016 and Its Correlation with Organic Material Concentration and Photocatalyst Amount

Abstract: The present study investigated the photodecomposition of an organic material during the partial (88.76%) solar eclipse phenomenon of 9 March 2016 in Bandung, Indonesia. Curcumin and anatase titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) particles were used as models of organic material and photocatalyst, respectively. The influence of the process parameters (i.e., curcumin concentration and the amount of TiO 2 ) on the photodecomposition process was also investigated. The results showed that the curcumin was decomposed along with … Show more

“…This case is well-known as normalized difference vegetation index NDVI=[NIR_R]/[NIR + R] (Bannari et al, 1995) and is the most widely used index, especially when analyzing data taken from satellite platforms. In practice, NDVI is and indicator for plant photosynthetic activity and has been found to be highly related to the green leaf area index (LAI) and the fraction of photosynthetically active radiation absorbed by vegetation (FAPAR) (Bannari et al, 1995;Baret & Guyot, 1991;Veroustraete, Sabbe, & Eerens, 2002;Nandiyanto et al, 2016).…”

“…Observations that the plasma concentration of resveratrol from a realistic dose is in the Nano molar range and that it exists in vivo almost entirely as conjugates, rather than as free resveratrol (Goldberg, 2003). Hamidie et al investigated the effect of fat-soluble polyphenol, curcumin, on mitochondrial biogenesis in rat hindlimb muscle (Hamidie et al, 2015;Nandiyanto et al, 2016). The intraperitoneal injection of curcumin for 28-day resulted increase in the expression of COX-IV, and OXPHOS subunits as well as increase in mtDNA copy number (Hamidie et al, 2015).…”

“…This is created from the occurrence of storage in the form of chemical energy. Chemical energy is formed by differences in the movement of inner ions through the structure of the rock (membrane polarization) and the difference between ionic and electronic conductivity when there is a metal mineral (electrode polarization) (Nandiyanto et al, 2016). In general electrode polarization is much greater than the normal IP effect, depending on the presence of metal minerals in rocks (Telford et al, 1990).…”
