Photochemical Degradation of Azapropazone in Methanolic Solution

Abstract: Bei unseren Studien uber die Photbchemie von Pyrazolonen und Dioxopyrazoli-dinen2) interessierte das diesbezugliche Verhalten des Azapropazons (1). Die nahe formale Verwandtschaft von 1 zum Phenylbutazon triigt, denn wahrend bei letzterem das acide Proton am C-4 lokalisiert ist3), besitzt 1 eine Zwitterionenstruktur, die aus einem mesomeriestabilisierten Amidinium-Kation und einem Malonyl-Anion besteht4!
