Photochemical Degradation of Azapropazone in Methanolic Solution

Abstract

Bei unseren Studien uber die Photbchemie von Pyrazolonen und Dioxopyrazoli-dinen2) interessierte das diesbezugliche Verhalten des Azapropazons (1). Die nahe formale Verwandtschaft von 1 zum Phenylbutazon triigt, denn wahrend bei letzterem das acide Proton am C-4 lokalisiert ist3), besitzt 1 eine Zwitterionenstruktur, die aus einem mesomeriestabilisierten Amidinium-Kation und einem Malonyl-Anion besteht4! Demnach sollten sich Phenylbutazon5)und 1 auch hinsichtlich der Photochemie unterscheiden. 1 verursacht Photodermatosen6), mul3 daher zumindest unter LichteinfluD reagieren (~g l .~9 .Nach friiheren Berichten zerfallt 1 in Losung und im kristallinen Zustand bei Tageslicht zu z7). Hierin gleicht es den Dioxopyrazolidinen, die photochemisch Azobenzol bilden5), doch bestehen quantitative Unterschiede: bei der Photolyse von 1 entsteht 2 als alleiniges7)oderwie sich jetzt zeigtezumindest als Haupt-Produkt, bei der Photolyse von Dioxopyrazolidinen ist Azobenzol nur ein Nebenprodukt5, '!
