Alternative replacement for land aggregate is very important for island and coastal region where land aggregate resources is scarce, expensive and even unavailable for construction industries. For country that have limited sources of land aggregate, offshore sand is a potential choice of replacement for their construction industries. This research studied the production and usage of synthetic lightweight coarse aggregate produced using offshore sand (SYLCAG). SYLCAG was produced to replace coarse aggregate that normally use igneous rock for concrete production. It was produced with density of 1300 kg/m3 which is nearly 60% lighter than normal aggregate. This SYLCAG was used as a full replacement for coarse aggregate in concrete which then produced as a concrete with density almost 1900 kg/m3. The produced concrete did not have achieve the design strength of 25 MPa concrete using the standard concrete design. However, it still has the potential to be develop with higher design and later used as structural concrete.

Nowadays, concrete is one of the most widely used building materials around the world. The requirement and wide application of concrete have made it necessary to investigate its behavior and the factors affecting its behavior. In the process of concrete production, more precision is necessary to fulfill the requirements of efficiency and strength. In estimating the behavior of concrete, various mathematical techniques have been presented by researchers, and as a result, the theory of fuzzy sets provides a very effective tool for modeling and analyzing vague and imprecise concepts. The present research aims to predict the 28-day strength of concrete based on the 7-day strength in the presence and absence of zeolite pozzolan models with different curing methods in water, sack, and plastic using fuzzy logic. One of the novel aspects of this study is that it uses fuzzy logic to analyze lab data. This is because fuzzy logic can be used to analyze data even when there is uncertainty. Thus, 12 mixing designs have been prepared to check the grade of cement on the researched parameters based on the values of 300, 400, and 500 kg/m 3 containing zeolite in the amounts of 0, 5, 10, and 15 weight percent of cement. All samples have been subjected to tests of concrete performance (slump test) and hardened concrete (compressive strength) at the age of 28 days. After completing the tests, the 28-day compressive strength of concretes has been predicted using fuzzy logic. This study shows that fuzzy logic can be applied as a powerful tool for modeling the compressive strength of concrete.

Due to the increasing expansion of infrastructure, there is a very high worldwide demand for river sand in the modern era. India's annual demand for river sand is 60 million metric tons. In metropolitan cities, the need for river sand is about 1 kilogram per person per day. The rapid extraction of river sand is producing detrimental effects on the environment. The main objective of the research is to determine the impact of rapid sand mining on river bank erosion and accretion and to find substitute materials for river sand. The River bank variations were measured for 1990-2000, 2000-2010, 2010-2020, and 1990-2020, and the corresponding erosion and accretion maps were created. These materials (copper slag, quarry dust, foundry sand, and sawdust) are used as an alternative to river sand to produce concrete mix. These alternatives substituted river sand from 10% to 60% in the mix proportion of M25 grade concrete to obtain the optimum compressive strength. These alternatives were also subjected to physical testing to determine their similarities to river sand. A Scanning Electron Microscope was used to analyze the hardened concrete's microstructure. The hardened concrete (River sand Substituted) is also analyzed to determine the changes in the internal structure of the concrete after 14 and 28 days.
