Percepção De Enfermeiras Sobre a Tensão Do Papel De Cuidador

Abstract

Pesquisa qualitativa com o objetivo de identificar a percepção de enfermeiras da atenção domiciliar sobre a tensão do papel de cuidador. O instrumento de coleta de dados utilizado foi a entrevista semiestruturada aplicada em 2014. Participaram da pesquisa sete enfermeiras do Serviço de Atenção Domiciliar de João Pessoa (PB). A análise dos dados foi realizada com base na Técnica de Análise de Conteúdo e suscitou três categorias temáticas: as características, com destaque para as alterações emocionais e físicas; os determinantes, expressos pelo conflito familiar e sobrecarga de atividades; e as consequências e prejuízo na qualidade do cuidado. Concluiu-se ser importante o reconhecimento, pelas enfermeiras, das características, dos determinantes e das consequências da tensão do papel de cuidador, para possibilitar o planejamento e a implementação de intervenções com vistas à prevenção, minimização dos efeitos deletérios relacionados à provisão de cuidados e o favorecimento de um cuidado eficaz aos cuidadores, pacientes e familiares.
