The Covid-19 pandemic has made the learning system change drastically from eye to eye gatherings to on the web learners from home. The capacity to think basically is vital for students as an important asset to succeed in life. This examination expects to decide the adequacy to improve student basic reasoning abilities. The research technique utilized is semi exploratory with a plan posttest just benchmark group plan. The sampling technique used in this investigation is a cluster random sampling technique. The data collection technique used the observation method and the distribution of questionnaires to determine the thinking students' critical skills in the subject of food processing and serving. Data analysis in this study used a statistical T-test to analize the treatment classes, namely pre-test, post-test. The outcome of the data analysis show that the application of Project-Based Learning based mobile-learning can improve student basic reasoning abilities.

The effects of online education on academic success: A meta-analysis study

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of online education, which has been extensively used on student achievement since the beginning of the pandemic. In line with this purpose, a meta-analysis of the related studies focusing on the effect of online education on students’ academic achievement in several countries between the years 2010 and 2021 was carried out. Furthermore, this study will provide a source to assist future studies with comparing the effect of online education on academic achievement before and after the pandemic. This meta-analysis study consists of 27 studies in total. The meta-analysis involves the studies conducted in the USA, Taiwan, Turkey, China, Philippines, Ireland, and Georgia. The studies included in the meta-analysis are experimental studies, and the total sample size is 1772. In the study, the funnel plot, Duval and Tweedie’s Trip and Fill Analysis, Orwin’s Safe N Analysis, and Egger’s Regression Test were utilized to determine the publication bias, which has been found to be quite low. Besides, Hedge’s g statistic was employed to measure the effect size for the difference between the means performed in accordance with the random effects model. The results of the study show that the effect size of online education on academic achievement is on a medium level. The heterogeneity test results of the meta-analysis study display that the effect size does not differ in terms of class level, country, online education approaches, and lecture moderators.

Melihat kondisi Pendidikan Indonesia yang menerapkan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) ketika pandemi Covid-19 yang menjadikan sebuah tantangan untuk menyaijkan pembelajaan yang menyenangkan dan mudah dimengerti. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan sebuah bahan ajar interaktif berbasis android pada pokok materi bangun datar kelas IV dan menguji kelayakan bahan ajar. Penelitian ini menerapkan model 4-D, terdapat 4 proses tahapan yaitu Define, Design, Development, Disseminate. Instrumen penelitian untuk mendapatan data berupa angket penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media, angket respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar. Hasil yang diperoleh penelitian ini: (1) menciptakan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis android pokok materi bangun datar (2) Berdasarkan hasil penilaian ahli bahan ajar interaktif dinyatakan layak hal ini berdasarkan data dari rata-rata secara keseluruhan dari tim ahli materi yaitu 72% mendapat kategori "layak" dan dari tim ahli media yaitu 86% mendapat kategori "sangat layak". Berdasarkan respon siswa sebesar 80.5 % mendapat kategori “sangat baik”. Melihat dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar interaktif layak digunakan sebagai media untuk guru dan siswa dalam melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran.
