Mathematical communication ability of students allows them to be able to communicate ideas or mathematical ideas with symbols, table, diagrams, or other media to clarify the situation or problems and discuss them with others. But, based on the observation students have difficulty in communicating their ideas. Mathematical communication ability of students needs to be improved. It is suspected to do with the learning of mathematics based of APOS mental constructions. This study tries to developed mathematics worksheet based of APOS mental construction. The students had been given instructions that guide them to understand the studied material. The next process, student had to repeat activities that had been performed previously using different examples. Then the student concluded from the two activities that had been done. The final scheme, students find the relationship of the material that had been studied. The purpose of this study is to develop Student's Work Sheet based of APOS for seven Grade Students of Junior High School that are valid, practical, and effective. This research is the development research using Plomp's Model which consists of three phases, preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase. This research finds that the Worksheet is valid and practices.

Numerical literacy ability is an important 21st century ability possessed by students. Teaching materials that have not integrated these abilities need to be developed. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to examine the needs of LKPD to improve students' numerical literacy ability. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The population used in this study was class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Yogyakarta, while the sample was class VIII.C SMP Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques in this study used interview techniques, questionnaires, and students' numerical literacy test results. The results of the study showed that: (1) as many as 87% of students were interested if mathematics lessons were packaged in the form of LKPD; (2) based on the numeracy literacy test as many as 69% of students in the medium category and 14% in the low category; (3) as many as 37% of students are embarrassed to ask the teacher about subject matter that is not understood and affects the activity of students in the classroom. In addition, students want the LKPD to be blue and contain material, practice questions, and assignments. This study concludes that teaching materials using LKPD need to be applied to improve students’ numerical literacy ability

Masalah penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana kualitas LKPD Matematika berbasis PBL pada kelas V berdasarkan kevalidannya? 2) Bagaimana kualitas LKPD Matematika berbasis PBL pada kelas V berdasarkan kepraktisannya? dan 3) Bagaimana kualitas LKPD Matematika berbasis PBL pada kelas V berdasarkan keefektifannya? Model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan 4D. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi dan metode angket. Teknik analisis data mengggunakan metode kuantitatif untuk memperoleh kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan LKPD yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kevalidan telah dilakukan oleh validator dengan skor mencapai 95,5% dengan kategori sangat valid, 2) Kepraktisan telah dilakukan oleh guru dengan skor mencapai 85% dengan kategori sangat praktis, 3) Keefektifan telah dilakukan oleh peserta didik dengan skor mencapai 89,7% dengan kategori sangat efektif.
