The preparation of compost from brem waste has been carried out with the aim of utilizing brem waste into more useful materials. In this work, brem waste was collected from UD.Tongkat Mas, Madiun, East Java. Brem waste compost was processed by aerobic method by adding eggshell powder and M-Bio activator. The M-Bio activator solution that was added was varied with the volume of the solution, i.e., 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150ml. Here, we gave the sample nomenclature of CM50, CM75, CM100, CM125, and CM150, respectively, with the numbers on the back side indicating the volume of M-Bio activator added. Observations on brem compost were carried out for 10 days. Every 2 days interval, measurements of the C/N ratio were carried out on the compost. The manufacture of compost has been successfully made (based on SNI Standard 19-7030-2004) and has the best results by adding 100 ml of M-Bio activator (CM100) with a composting time of 10 days, with a C/N ratio of 11.42, and has no odor.

Soybean productivity in Indonesia was greatly affected by low soil fertility due to the excessive use of chemical fertilizers. Applying organic fertilizer or compost such as palm bagasse could be a potential source of organic matter to improve soil fertility and crop productivity. An effective compost should be rich in fiber and high C/N ratio. Therefore, compost is recommended to be mixed with other low C/N ratio materials to accelerate the composting and increase N content. This study was aimed to determine the mixture ratio of palm bagasse compost (PBC) with other materials, such as Azolla, Gliricidia leaves, tofu dreg waste. This study was conducted in Completely Randomized Block Design with two factors. The first factor was type of mixing ingredients such as Azolla, Gliricidia leaves, tofu dreg waste. The second factor was the dose (%) of PBC in combination with Urea (%), namely 0, 25, 50, 75, 100%. Each treatment was repeated in blocks. Results showed that the mixture of PBC with all organic N sources was promising to substitute Urea. Moreover, application of 100% PBC exhibited the highest soybean yield, suggesting that PBC could provide sufficient nutrients for soybean growth. This present study emphasized the potential of soybean production optimization with low dependence on chemical fertilizers, thus highlighting the potency of more sustainable soybean cultivation using organic fertilizer.

Effects of Composting on Growth and Uptake of Plant Nutrients and Soil Chemical Properties After Composting with Various Comparison of POME aims to find out the provision of compost with various comparisons of POME in improving soil chemical properties and to know the treatment of compost types with various comparisons of POME to Plant NutrientGrowth and Uptake research this will be carried out in the Research will be carried out in the Bangun Bandar PT. Socfindo, Serdang Bedagai district, Dolok Masihul sub-district with a height of ± 25 m above sea level. The research will be carried out in January -August 2018. As for the method used The mixture of soil and compost samples that have been incubated for 1 month is taken from each sample as much as 1 kg and analyzed the nutrients in the laboratory by the wet decstructive method pH H2O 1: 2.5 , N-Total (Kjeldahl destilation), C-Organic (Walky and Black titration), P-Bray II (spectrophometer) and CEC (Ammonium acetate pH 7).
