Pembentukan Kelompok Masyarakat Terlatih Water Rescue di Kampung Binaan Segana

Abstract

ABSTRAK Banjir merupakan peristiwa terendamnya suatu daerah atau daratan karena volume air yang meningkat dan terjadi karena curah hujan turun terus menerus dan mengakibatkan meluapnya air sungai, danau, laut atau drainase karena jumlah air yang melebihi daya tampung media penopang air dari curah hujan (BNPB (2019), BNPB (2017). Angka kejadian banjir bandang Bengkulu menuruti peringkat ke 7 secara nasional dengan 28 kali kejadian banjir bandang dan 231 kejadian banjir (Badan Pusat Statistik Indonesia, 2018), sedangkan kejadian banjir dan tanah longsor di provinsi Bengkulu telah melanda 9 kabupaten dan kota dengan dampak akibat banjir terdapat 30 jiwa meninggal, 6 jiwa hilang, 4 jiwa luka-luka, 12.000 mengungsi dan 13.000 terdampak akibat banjir (BNPB Provinsi Bengkulu, 2019). Tujuan dari Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk membentuk kelompok masyarakat yang terlatih tentang cara melakukan pertolongan di air saat bencana disebabkan oleh banjir, kecelakaan pada saat nelayan sedang mencari ikan di laut atau sungai atau kejadian tenggelam. Diharapkan dengan terbentuknya kelompok masyarakat yang terlatih dalam penyelamatan di air di Kampung Binaan Jenggalu 3 Rt 8 Kel Lingkar Barat Kota Bengkulu, masyarakat dapat menghindari dan mengurangi angka kesakitan dan kematian saat bencana banjir datang. Kata Kunci:kelompok, terlatih, Water rescue ABSTRACT Flood is an event of submerging an area or land due to increased water volume and occurs due to continuous rainfall and results in overflowing of rivers, lakes, seas or drainage due to the amount of water that exceeds the capacity of the water supporting media from rainfall (BNPB (2019) , BNPB (2017). The incidence of flash floods in Bengkulu ranks 7th nationally with 28 flash floods and 231 flood events (Indonesian Central Statistics Agency, 2018), while floods and landslides in Bengkulu province have hit 9 districts and cities with the impact of flooding. 30 people died, 6 people were missing, 4 people were injured, 12,000 were displaced and 13,000 were affected by the flood (BNPB Bengkulu Province, 2019). The purpose of this Community Service is to create community organizations that are trained to offer aid in the water in the case of calamities such as floods, accidents when fishing in the sea or rivers, or drownings. In the fostered hamlet of Jenggalu 3 Rt 8 Kel Lingkar Barat Bengkulu City, it is envisaged that by forming community organizations trained in water rescue, the community would be able to avoid and minimize morbidity and death when the flood disaster occur. Fatal drowning in Indonesia: understanding knowledge gaps through a scoping review
